I’m a Sew-vivor!

We are always up for a challenge. We have faced many, and we welcome new ones daily.

Hence, we are entering our Fight Like a Girl upcycled dress into the Sew-Vivor Challenge by Family Ever After.

The top 10 will be announced March 7, 2012.

Wish us luck!

Sew Priddy Fight Like A Girl 7/8

Sew Priddy -- Fight Like A Girl

The Entry: We can’t think of a more fitting entry.  As a symbol of female strength and empowerment, Wonder Woman perfectly symbolizes the fighting spirit each cancer survivor embodies. This Fight Like a Girl Dress has light ruching under the collar for some extra girly flair. Help create awareness with this custom piece and wear it proudly.

The Background:

We are excited to be part of a charity auction benefiting Ashley of Lil Blue Boo. I can’t say enough good things about Ashley – she’s inspiring and her blogs and clothing are amazing. Ashley reminds us to “Choose Joy” no matter what we are battling in life. One of her most moving blog entries is this one, but I warn you, you may need a box of tissues: Rite of Passage Video. Ashley has put a smile on our faces and our daughter’s face and changes people’s lives for the better daily, and we hope to return the favor. Please be sure to check out the details of the auction at http://evystree.com/blog/?p=1656. We will have this dress listed, as well as two others, and 200+ other vendors will be displaying amazing work.

Don’t miss it starting February 27, 2012 at 11 pm EST/ 8 pm PST. It will run until February 29, 2012. The auction will be at www.hyenacart.com/stores/teamashley

Sew-Vivor: We are confident we are up to the challenges if we are chosen. Our entry embodies three of the challenges in one: an upcycle, for charity, and with pleats! The competition is very stiff, and it is exciting just to be a part of it. Check out http://www.familyeverafterblog.com/ for interesting blog entries, contests, and giveaways.
